Nestled in the bustling Bandar Puteri Puchong, Lai Foong Lala Noodles offers an authentic taste of Chinese cuisine with a delightful seafood focus, specializing in its signature lala (clams) dishes. This charming restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving rich, comforting bowls of noodle soups and claypot glass noodles brimming with fresh seafood.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Claypot Lala Glass Noodles, a dish that combines generous portions of fresh clams with silky glass noodles simmered in a fragrant garlic chili sauce. Each bite delivers a perfect harmony of robust garlic flavor and a mildly spicy kick that awakens the palate without overwhelming it. Enthusiasts of seafood will appreciate how the clams remain tender and fresh, lending a natural sweetness to the dish.
For those seeking variety, the restaurant also serves other enticing claypot glass noodle options such as the Claypot Baby Octopus Glass Noodles and Claypot Prawn Glass Noodles — both cooked in dark soy sauce that adds a deep umami undertone. The prawn dish stands out for its vibrant sweetness, although some guests have noted the prawns might be slightly overcooked, a minor quibble in an otherwise satisfying experience. The inclusion of fried snacks like Crispy Fried Fish Cake and the savory Fried Beancurd Rolls provides perfect starters or accompaniments to complement your meal.
Refreshing beverages—including Calamansi Juice, Sugar Cane Herbal Tea, and the uniquely fragrant Pandan Coconut drink—make great pairings to the savory noodle dishes, balancing the meal with a crisp, palate-cleansing touch.
While the restaurant’s location inside Lot GF-5, Tower 2 at PFCC may present some challenges in finding convenient parking, patrons agree that the value and generosity of the seafood portions make the visit worthwhile. The dining atmosphere is casual yet inviting, enhanced by attentive and quick service that ensures your hot bowl arrives promptly.
Feedback from satisfied diners paints a vivid picture: The lala noodles are “tasty and plentiful” with “rich, comforting flavors” highlighted by subtle ginger notes, while another reviewer praised the “mildly spicy, strong lala taste” and the generous seafood quantities. Some suggest skipping the added chilies as the ginger and the chili sauce provided are sufficient to enliven the dish. A Michelin recommendation has also drawn food lovers to this hidden gem in Puchong.
Whether you're a local seafood fan or an adventurous visitor eager to explore Malaysian Chinese culinary delights, Lai Foong Lala Noodles promises a memorable dining experience with every savory spoonful of their fresh, flavorful seafood noodle creations.

I recently dined at the restaurant highly recommended by my brother in KL. Opted for the Lala noodles, and while the overall experience was good, I’d suggest skipping the added chilies as the ginger provides sufficient spice. The self-serve chili area is convenient, and adding cut chilies in the noodles seems redundant. The Chinese wine flavor was a bit overpowering, making it less suitable for kids. The clams were okay, but a considerable number were closed, raising concerns about freshness.

The location of the restaurant isn't great, and parking is very difficult to find, which can be frustrating. However, the Lala noodle soup is a highlight. The dish is simple, just noodles with pure lala (clams), but the flavor is nice. The portion of lala they give you is generous to the point where you might find yourself eating and still not finishing it—it's a lot! If you're a fan of lala, you'll definitely get your fill here.

Good food, pleasant atmosphere, fast service. Very generous with the seafood. Lala noodle soup was flavourful and mildly spicy with strong lala taste. The lala was fresh and all well cooked. Lala claypot glass noodles was a different kind of flavourful and had lots of garlic. Prawn noodle soup had strong prawn flavour and was also mildly spicy. The prawn was sweet but overcooked.
